Hantz Notifier API 

For an effective network infrastructure management, it is very important that IT managers and operators receive notifications on the occurrence of alarms or events. Hantz Products allow each user to subscribe to the types of events for which he/she wants to be notified. When the defined type of event occurs, the system will notify the users not only by email and/or by executing a pre-determined DOS batch file, but also through such notification methods as paging, SMS, beep, and SNMP trap.

Hantz products' notification system is very flexible. The email/paging/SMS formats and DOS batch files are definable on a subscription-by-subscription basis. Aside from using email or running user-defined batch files, it is possible to notify a mobile phone (SMS) or a pager (depending on the services offered by your mobile phone and pager operators), or set off beep chimes on a workstation and set an SNMS trap. In order to facilitate the Notification capabilities of Hantz system in the long term, a standard API has been developed to interface with various protocol modules. By using the standard API, protocol modules can be developed independently from the core Hantz system software.
